Faith
God has given us so many promises in His word. And He has put it at our disposal so that we may speak it over our lives. For He said that His word never returns to Him void without accomplishing that which it was sent to do.(Isaiah 55:11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it )We say we are Christians and that Jesus died for us and was raised from the dead...blah blah blah...but we accept the mediocre life that the world is dishing out to us. The world is giving us the scraps of that which we are truly meant to receive. Jesus took upon Himself our shame, our pain and suffering, our diseases, our poorness... Haybo, we cannot accept such things as though they are normal. As though they should be part of our lives. They are meant to be temporary for we are still living in flesh and blood and therefore every once in a while we will find ourselves being tested and tried. We will be allowed thorns in our flesh to keep us from becoming big headed (2 Cor 12: Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.). Even there, God does not leave us...He says "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." His power will only manifest if we remain in Him...and at the right time He WILL remove the thorn. It was only to serve a purpose and when it is done it no longer has a place. But we love them thorns so much that we hold on to them. Sometimes though we see that God has removed it, we take it again and keep it as a souvenir of some sort...as if...
Open your heart and hands to receive that which God has for you. It is better, bigger and greater than what you have created and it will definitely last. We tend to be comfortable with what we have created for ourselves. The success, the family and the life that we made. If you think you have made it now, imagine when God is in charge...open your hands and let go and be ready to receive His blessing, His healing and His restoration...
Just remember that what He has for you might not come in a package wrapped in gold packaging and tied with a red bow...might come in a shabby looking package...just open it with great excitement...unwrap it and Behold!!!!!
Be blessed,
P
