Hope Restored - The Book

"Hope Restored" published on 31 October 2015.

"Hope Restored" is a collection of my motivational articles which are based on my journey as a born again Christian and divorced single mother of two daughters who is living HIV. I share my journey with God and how He has walked with me through the hardest times of my life. This book is meant to be a testimony of the love of God in my own life which I am sharing with others in order to bring hope to those who have lost hope and encouragement to those who are on the verge of giving up on life. It is meant to touch those who are looking for that little light at the end of the tunnel or that silver lining on a dark cloud. It is my hope that it will not only touch their lives but also change them for the better and give them hope to face yet another day and to know that all things are possible with God.

I also share how the gift of positive thinking and faith has helped me deal with my HIV status and how I gained strength when I faced challenges as a woman living with HIV. I share how the love and support of family and friends has helped me stand and continue living even when life did not seem to be worth living. And with this I hope to highlight the importance of having a strong support system in times of trials and that no one person is meant to live life alone.

This is my story, and I know that it is a story of a life lived and one worth being told. Everyone has a story and as we journey through life, we are writing our own stories and ones that need to be told and shared with the world. There is someone somewhere who is waiting to hear our stories so that they may gain hope; there is someone in need of our stories to try again and take another chance at life. So, whatever your story may be, don’t go to the grave with it. Live it, share it, tell it, sing it, and preach it; I just did. It will change someone’s life for the better.

The book is R130 plus postage. It is obtainable directly from me on the following contact details

In this New Year. We have heard of the new things that God is doing for and to His people. I'm sure by now we have heard some testimonies and we await our new things with such anticipation. Some are waiting for God to fix their lives before things get worse because it is said that this is 20fixit.

Our God is a very creative God. He never runs out of ideas to answer His children's prayers and requests. We have to know that just because He gave my brother a new thing it doesn't mean that He will do the same for me. Just because He saved your sister's marriage before her husband moved out doesn't mean He'll work the same for you.

At times, God resurrects what's been dead and buried because He gains glory through that. God let that part of your life die so that He can be glorified through you when He resurrects it again.

Remember Lazarus. Jesus loooooved Lazarus. Hence when he was very sick his sisters sent out for Jesus because they knew He'd come quickly to heal him. But Jesus let Lazarus die so that God would receive His glory through him. Jesus went on with His business but He never forgot about Lazarus.

When He got to Lazarus' tomb. He commanded them to roll away the stone and He called out Lazarus. He came out still in bandages. They had to be removed so that he may be free to see and walk.

Today, Jesus is saying to you. Roll away the stone you have closed the grave of your marriage with. Roll away the stone you have closed your dead heart with. Roll away the stone you have closed your dead mind with. No matter how long its been dead for, roll away the stone. Jesus doesn't mind the odor that will come out. Just roll away the stone that He may call out what's been buried and bring it to life. And you just wait, and be ready to remove the bandages so that life may begin again.

You know what's been dead in your life. You know what you've buried. Jesus is saying to you. ROLL AWAY THE STONE!!!

As 2014 is about to end. I believe that we each have some things which we prayed for but somehow have not received answers for. We have been asking ourselves why God has been so quiet about them? In our panic, we created our own answers, thinking that God helps those who help themselves. But we still are not finding any joy.

Today, God says He wants to do a new thing in your life. He wants to bless you with what He made especially for you. But you're holding on to this old self-made "blessing" that you're so blind to see what God is putting before your eyes.

Why are you still in that job when you know how frustrating it is, it’s killing you inside out and yet you're holding on because of fear. Fear of lack and poverty. Who's your source of provision? God or your unappreciative employer? Why are you still in that relationship? Its abusive and yet you're still there because you're scared of being alone, who's your most faithful companion? God or man? Why are you still hanging out with those friends, knowing that they are using you and sucking you dry? Who is your loyal friend? Jesus or man? Can God not position divine connections for you? So why are you still connected to these people you know do not have any ounce of integrity in them? Can God not prosper you and move you from one level to the next?

Just something to think about... You could be holding on to someone else's answer to prayer. Someone has been waiting for God to grant them work but you're still working there so how can they get their answer. Someone may be waiting for their husband/wife but you're holding on to their answer. You think you can change this person but they're not meant for you hence they're the way they are. You're depriving the man of His favour because God says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour with God. And you're most definitely not that good thing. And you're wondering why you don't have God's favour, look at the one you think is the wife for you, she's not that good thing God intended for you. You’re holding to friends and connections who are not good for you and your divine connections are waiting for you to open space for them that they may enter your life and make a difference.

Let go of what doesn't belong to you. It’s frustrating you this much because it’s not yours. You're like a person who tries to fit a size 7 foot into a size 5 shoe. Its pinching, it’s painful, it gives you blisters and makes it very difficult to walk. Let go of what’s reached its expiry date in your life, just like an expired body lotion put on a freshly showered body. It can only give you an irritating rash. Just please let go, so that you get what's yours and someone else gets their much awaited blessing.

Isaiah 43:18 Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it?
